Notifications
Study-Track can send push notifications to remind you about upcoming deadlines, protect your streak, and keep you connected with friends. All notifications are optional and individually configurable.
Enabling notifications
The first time you open Study-Track you'll be asked whether to allow notifications. If you skipped that, you can enable them at any point:
- Go to Settings → Notifications
- Toggle Enable notifications on
- Your browser or device will prompt for permission: tap Allow
On a browser, notifications arrive as browser push notifications. In the native iOS or Android app, they arrive as standard system notifications. The settings are the same either way.
Notification types
| Type | When it fires |
|---|---|
| Deadline reminder | 9 AM the day before a deadline is due |
| Streak at risk | 8 PM if you haven't studied yet that day |
| Achievement unlocked | When you earn a new badge |
| Friend request | When someone sends you a friend request |
| Friend ping | When a friend sends you an encouragement ping |
Turning off individual notifications
You don't need to disable all notifications to silence one type. Go to Settings → Notifications and toggle each type independently.
For example, you can keep deadline reminders on while turning off friend pings.
Disabling all notifications
Toggle Enable notifications off in Settings → Notifications. This pauses all Study-Track notifications without revoking device/browser permission: so you can re-enable them at any time with a single tap.
To permanently revoke permission, use your device's system settings or browser site settings.
The streak-at-risk reminder at 8 PM is one of the most useful notifications: it gives you two hours to log even a short session before midnight. We recommend keeping it on if you want to maintain a long streak.
